Artist’s Statement

I paint realism-style scenes of majestic landscapes and wildlife. The question I keep coming back to is how we have become so disconnected from nature. To me, nature holds a quiet reflection of our inner thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I build each painting in thin layers of acrylics, allowing light, presence, depth, and atmosphere to show gradually, the way a dense forest would form for our eyes. I hope my paintings invite viewers to wallow in a sense of awe, then look beyond the immediate, and see their sense of self reflected back at them. We are never separate from nature; we are a product of it.
